My short story “Wekka’s Gold” is now on the podcast Tall Tale TV. This story is available in Dragontongue and Other Stories. The story features Liaro, who is searching for his wife, Wekka. She has gone off in search of much needed gold. She has chosen to find it in a cavern inhabited by a monster.
Chris Herron explains why he created Tall Tale TV:
Hi there! My name is Chris Herron and I’m an audiobook narrator. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year…Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision.
During that difficult time, I couldn’t read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me… and I fell in love with audiobooks.
Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That’s why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal…. (For the full version, go here.)
